Everest Tengboche Trek - 12 Days

Kathmandu - Lukla - Namche - Tengboche - Lukla - Kathmandu

The Tengboche Monastery is the most important monastery for the Sherpas of the Khumbu region. It is tradition that the head Lama of this monastery bless every climbing expedition to Mt. Everest . The monastery is also significant because a decree from the Lama prohibits killing within the premises, which is largely the reason, why the Sagarmatha National Park  is a refuge for a variety of endangered fauna.

The trek begins at Lukla. Trek through Namche Bazaar, the largest village in the Khumbu, and other quaint Sherpa villages. On the hike between Namche and Tengboche, you are constantly rewarded with views of Mt. Amendable , Mt. Everest and other awe-inspiring peaks. Return via Humbug, home of the highest bakery in the world.

This trek is perfect for those with limited time but wish to experience magnificent views of the highest mountains in the Himalaya without hiking to extreme altitudes. The trip begins and concludes with a full day sightseeing in Katmandu

We feel that small groups provide a more intimate atmosphere allowing you to get to know your Sherpa guides better and to develop lifelong friendships. Therefore, the maximum group size is 10 people . With 6 to 10 people in the group, we provide one head guide (sirdar) and two support staff and porters during the trek.
