Detail Itinerary
| Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival in Kathmandu, airport pickup and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Time permitting, a predeparture group meeting shall be held in the evening. Day 2 Kathmandu In the morning visit the Pashupatinath Temple and temple of the sleeping Vishnu. In the afternoon/evening group is free for final preparation for the Kailash Tour. Day 3 Kathmandu - Nyalam (3750m), 153 kms, 6-7 hours drive, Hotel Nyalam or similar Embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Kodari at the border of Nepal and Tibet. Walk to the Friendship Brigde and after completing custom and immigration formalities drive up to the bustling town of Zhangmu. Afterwards proceed to Nyalam. Day 4 Nyalam Stay at Nyalam for acclimatization. The group will be taken for a 3 hours trek to prepare further for the Holy Kailash trip. Day 5 Nyalam - Saga (4600m), 240 kms, 6-7 hours drive, Hotel Saga Drive to Saga via Paigu Tso Lake. Day 6 Saga - Paryang (4750m), 255 kms, 5-6 hours drive, Hotel Paryang Day 7 Paryang - Manasarovar (4560m), 223 kms, 5-6 hours, Guesthouse Drive to Chui Gompa with the circumbulation of Lake Manasarovar. Day 8 Manasarovar - Darchen (4620m), 115 kms, 4-5 hours, Guesthouse In the morning visit a puja at Manasarovar Lake. After puja group is free to visit the surroundings of the lake at their own or visit the nearby hot springs. After lunch departure to Darchen at 4620m. Day 9 Darchen - Nandi Parbat - Darchen, Guesthouse Drive to Serlung Monastery and Asthapath for an excellent view of Nandi Parbat and Holy Mount Kailash. Stay in Darchen in a local guesthouse and prepare for Kailash parikarma. Day 10 Darchen - Dirapuk (4860m), 20 kms, 5-6 hours, Guesthouse Drive ahead of Tarboche to the starting point of Kailash Parikarma (13kms). Trek to Dirapuk, 7 kms and stay in camp, local guesthouse. Day 11 Dirpapuk - Zuthul Puk (4760m), 18 kms, 9-10 hrs, Guesthouse Trek to Zuthul Puk crossing the Dolma La Pass (5650m) visiting Gauri Kunda. Stay in camp, local guesthouse. Day 12 Zuthul Puk - Paryang (4750m), 280 kms, 10-11 hours, Hotel Paryang End Kailash parikarma (10kms), about 3-4 hours trek and drive 270 kms to Parayang. Day 13 Parayang - Saga (4600m), 225 kms, 6-7 hours, Hotel Saga Day 14 Saga - Nyalam (2300m), 270 kms, 7-8 hours, Guesthouse Day 15 Nyalam - Kathmandu, 123 kms, 7-8 hours Spectacular drive downhill to Zhangmu. Walk across the Friendship bridge and after completing immigration formalities final leg of the Kailash journey to Kathmandu. Hotel check-in for last night of your tour. Day 16 Kathmandu No program until transfer to Kathmandu airport for your flight home or onward journey in Nepal. |
