Day 01: Arrival

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu(1330m):Meet our representative at
Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. All the required documents ,photos,
passport copis etc. are collected for the preparation of all legal documents
required during the trek. On the same day you'll be meeting your guide for the
trek. Day 02:
Kathmandu to Pokhara(820m):After the breakfast we will be heading to Pokhara by tourist bus
which takes around 6-7 hours. On the way we would be seeing the beautiful view
of the Trishuli river which is flowing side by side through out the most of our
way to Pokhara. We even get to witness the people doing rafting in Trishuli
river. Day
03: Pokhara to Jomsom(2770m) to Kagbeni(2800m):An early morning
transfer to airport , 25 minutes flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. This is one of
the world's exciting flight to see mountains (Annapurna I (8091m) , Dhaulagiri
(8167m), Fishtail (6997m) and other numerous peaks) closely through plane. We begin our trek to
Kagbeni following along the bank of Kali Gandaki river which takes around 3
hours. En-route, we pass through arid part of Kali Gandaki river. Overnight at lodge. Day 04: Kagbeni to Jharkot to Muktinath(3800m):Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath takes about four hours. The Trail
steeply ascends for couple of hundred meters. While gradually walking you can
enjoy beautiful deserted landscape, caves, old Tibetan Style villages, apple
garden, yaks herds, sheep herds and so on. We can look at Thorong La valley
straight up to the Muktinath. We can visit Monastery at Jharkot believed to be
built in 15 century. Now you head towards Muktinath following steep ascent path
for half an hour. Overnight at Muktinath village. Day 05: Muktinath to Jomsom(2770m) to Marpha(2686m):Early
in the morning we go to pilgrimage
site for both Hindus and Buddhists where we come across
Natural flaming which really exhilarates you. At this point, you can see
splendid view of Dhaulagiri (8165m), Nilgiri (7061m.) and others. Then, we
start our trek to Jomsom which takes
about approximately four hours. From Jomsom views of the Nilgiri peaks are
fine. We further start trek to Marpha which takes around 1 hour.
Marpha is a
large Thakali village which still retains the typical architectural features of
narrow alleyways , flat roofs , and whitewashed buildings. Day 06: Marpha to Ghasa(2010m):Today
we start our trek along the side of the Kali Gandaki river but crossing it
several times further as trail continues. On the way we cross villages like Tukuche, Khobang , Larjung etc. with the
majority of the Thakali people living there. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach
Ghasa which is also a small Thakali village which lies by the side of the small
pine forest. Day 07:Ghasa to Tatopani(1190m):We start our trek to Tatopani after we
have our breakfast. Today, the trail continues down the Kali Gandaki gorge.
This is considered to be the deepest in the world which is situated as it is
between the 8000m peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Walking slightly down we
reach Rupse Chhahara from where we can see stunning waterfall. We continue trek
to Tatopani crossing Dana on the way. Overal it takes around 4-5 hours to reach
Tatopani from Ghasa. Day
08: Tatopani to Ghorepani(2750m): As always we start our trek
after the breakfast and this time to Ghorepani. Today it will be a trek about
6-7 hours continuously walking up hill until the Ghorepani. On the way we cross
the villages like Ghara , Shikha , Chitre etc. Our last 2 hours of the trek
before Ghorepani will be through the Rhodendron forest which is totally red due
the flowers durng the months of February to April. Day 09: Ghorepani to Tadapani(2600m):Today, very early in the
morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill , a brilliant spectacle;
this vantage point provides a superb view of sunrise over the high Himalayas,
including the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhare. In Poon Hill we will spend
about 1 hour, we then return to Ghorepani we take a hot breakfast at the hotel
and continue our trek to Tadapani.Along the trail towards Tadapani, we make climb along ridges and
through pine- and rhododendron forests. Our final destination for today,
Tadapani, offers magnificent views of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna South. Day
10: Tadapani to Ghandruk(1940m):Today we take enough time
to wake up and have breakfast as our trek is only 3 hours down hill today to
Ghandruk. It is a large,
prosperous Gurung village and after arrival we have time to explore the maze of
narrow alleyways separating the neat slate-roofed houses and watch the sunlight
on Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Day 11: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara(820m): Today is the last day of our
trek and we start our trek from Ghandruk
we descend down to Syauli Bazaar. From Syauli Bazaar it is a pleasant easy
walk following the river to Birethanti where we cross the bridge. A
short walk from the village brings us to the road at Naya Pull from where
we go to pokhara by private transport which takes 1 hour drive. Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu(1320m):Today we will be back to Kathmandu and as our trip comes to an
end. We can prefer to go by tourist bus(6-7 hours drive) or can fly by domestic
air (35minutes flight) too. Day 13:Kathmandu Departure: After breakfast , a Himalayan Rock Treks and Expdition responsible
person will drop you to the international airport. |
