Day 1 Arrival Kathmandu(1320m):Meet our representative at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. All the required documents ,photos, passport copis etc. are collected for the preparation of all legal documents required during the trek. On the same day you'll be meeting your guide for the trek. Day 2 Kathmandu(1320m) to Lukla(2840m), trekking to Phakding(2610m):After the breakfast we will be headed towads the domestic airport and after 35 minutes flight we will reach Lukla. Then our trekking starts to Phakding. It will take around 3/4 hrs walk to reach Phakding. We will be able to see the first mountain of Everest region i.e. Kusum Khangkaru(6367m). Over night stay at Phakding. Day 3 Phakding(2610m) to Namche Bazar(3440m):After breakfast we will be heading to Namche Bazar. We will be following Dudh Koshi which includes many bridges along the path. Then we will reach the check post and enter Sagarmatha National Park. Altogether it takes 6-7 hrs to reach Namche Bazar from Phakding. On the way we would be able to observe several villages, rivers , forests , and amazing mountain views [Mt. Thamserku(6608m), Mt. Everest(8848m) ]. This will be the first view of Mt. Everest during our trek. Day 4 Namche Bazar(3440m) (restday, Everest View Hotel, 3800m):After breakfast we will be hading towards Everest View hotel and on the way we will be going to National park headquarter from where we can see the panoromic view of Mt. Everest , Mt. Lhotse ,Mt.Nupse, Mt. Amabdlam Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Thauche , Mt. Kyangde etc. From the Everest view hotel also we will be seeing the same view. Day 5 Namche
Bazar to Thengboche:We start our walk to our next
destination i.e. Thengboche immediately after breakfast. It taks around 5-6 hrs
to reach there. Thengboche is home to the regions largest monastery, a
destination for monks of all ages throughout the country to practice and study
Buddhism. The public is invited to witness their puja ceremonies, where they
chant prayers and perform rituals inside the ornately decorated gompas Day 6 Thengboche to Pangboche to Dingboche:Very early wake up call and visit the
impressive morning puja in
Thengboche Monastery. Breakfast after the puja and start today’s trek to
Pangboche.Pangboche, at 3.985m
is the highest permanent settlement on the approach to Everest and in the upper
village there is a gompa (monastery) founded by the lama Sange Dorje. Pangboche
offers great views on what many people consider as the most beautiful
moutainpeak in the Himalayas, Mount
Ama Dablam. We continue to walk upto Dingboche(4400m). Altogther it taks
around 5-6 hrs to reach Dingboche. Dag 7 Dingboche
(restday or dayhike):We spend a day at Dingboche (4400m) to
continue our acclimatisation. Those adapting well to the altitude can
climb Nangkartshang Peak at
5100m for great views of Chalotse, Tawoche and Mount Ama Dablam. Or we can go
to Chhukum valley. Day 8 Dingboche to Lobuche :Back on the trek again, the trail from
Dingboche ascends, emerging onto the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier
from where we have a beautiful panorama of the peaks lying on the Nepal-Tibet
border. The trail then eases off as we follow the valley to Lobuche (4.900m) a tiny hamlet
with a few teahouses. The sunset on Nuptse is not to be missed. Altogether it is a trek about 5-6 hrs till Lobuche from
Dingboche. Day 9 Lobuche to Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep:Another long day and again we leave
very early. Trekking across a glacier, the trail winds up and down through
fascinating icy series of land known as Everest Base Camp, where, usually in spring, we may see some of
the expedition teams as they prepare to climb the mountain. From the Base Camp
we get fantastic close up views of the Khumbu Ice Fall and we can appreciate just how difficult it
is to negotiate a route through the huge blocks of ice. We descend from the
Base Camp to Gorak Shep and night stay in Gorak shep. Day 10 Gorak Shep to Kalapathar - Dzongla:Early in the morning we will be
heading to the Kalapathar . It taks around 2 hrs to the top of the Kalapathar.
It is one of the highest point of our trekking from where we can see the view
of sun rise and the fascinating view of the mountains ( Mt. Everst , Mt. Lhotse
, Mt. Nupse, Mt. Pumo Ri ,Mt. Makalu and much more ). Then we head back to
Gorak Shep and after breakfast we start our trek to Dzongla. Day 11 Dzongla to Cho La pass to Dragnag:We are heading much earlier then we usually do as the trail is more difficult and takes longer. It takes 3-4 hrs to reach Cho La pass where we enjoy the view of the mountain and the rocky and landscapes for a while. Then we continue to walk down hill to the Dragnag which takes around 7-8 hrs. Day 12 Dragnag to Gokyo:We will take enough time to have breakfast and star our trek today. It takes around 3-4 hrs to reach Gokyo. On the way we get to see Ngozumba Glacier and cross it heading towars Gokyo. In Gokyo we will be enjoing the view of Gokyo lake and the mountain around it. Day 13 Gokyo to Gokyo Ri to Macchermo:Early in the morning we will goto Gokyo Ri(6500m) to see the sunrise and the panaromic view of the mountains like: Mt. Everest(8848m) ,Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m), Mt. Makalu , Mt. Lothse ,Mt. Nupse and so on. After we return to Gokyo from Gokyo Ri , we will have our breakfast and we return back same way to Macchermo. Altogether we will be doing 6-7 hrs trek. Day 14 Macchermo to Khumjung(3780m):After breakfast , we will trek back to Khumjung. It will take around 5-6 hrs to reach Khumjung. It is quite big sherpa village of Khumbu region. We will do a short sightseeing in the village where we can see monastry , Hillary school along with tipical sherpa community. Day 15 Khumjung to Monjo(2835m):We start our trek back to Monjo after our breakfast. It will take around 5-6 hrs to reach Monjo. Namche Bazar lies on the way to Monjo. Day 16 Monjo to Lukla(2800m):Finally this is the last day of our trek. As such, we will be heading to Lukla after breakfast. It will take around 4 -5 hrs to reach Lukla from Monjo. Day 17 Lukla to Kathmandu:Early in the morning after having the breakfast , we will go to LUkla airport to head back to Kathmandu. After 35 minutes flight with a scinic view of the nature, we will reach Kathmandu. Day 18 Kathmandu Departure:After breakfast , a Himalayan Rock Treks and Expdition responsible person will drop you to the international airport. |
