This India tour is a combination of Keoladeo National Park and the famous Golden Triangle tour including Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur and Delhi.
Visit the bird's paradise Keoladeo National Park (also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary) and during the same tour visit cultural highlights such as Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Hawa Mahal in Jaipur and Samode Palace. Finally in Delhi a sightseeing tour is included in this tour; you will visit Delhi Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutb Minar and India Gate.

Facts Of Trip

Keoladeo National Park is situated in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. It is also known as Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Keoladeo National Park /wildlife Sanctuary is famous as bird's paradise, with over 380 resident and migrant species of birds, including the Common, Demoiselle and the rare Siberian Cranes. The Keoladeo Ghana National Park is also an excellent place to spot mammals like Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Striped Hyaena, Sambar, Fishing Cat, Nilgai, Blackbuck and wild Boar. In 1981, Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary was given the status of National Park. The name Keoladeo has been derived from a nearby ancient Hindu temple, devoted to Lord Shiva.

Attractions in Keoladeo Ghana National Park
The main attractions for tourists visiting the Keoladeo Ghana Park are the migratory birds, which comes from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia to spend their winters in Bharatpur, before returning back to their breeding grounds. Some of the migratory birds that visit Keoladeo /Bharatpur bird sanctuary include several species of Cranes, Hawks, Pelicans, Geese, Shanks, Ducks, Eagles, Warblers, Stints, Wagtails, Buntings, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Larks, Pipits etc. Besides the migratory and resident birds, other tourist attractions in Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary include the Bharatpur government Museum, Lohagarh Fort and Deeg Palace.

Park Trips
To move around in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, there are well-defined forest trails, which you can cover on foot or on a bicycle. You can also hire a rickshaw and explore the bird sanctuary at ease. The best time to visit the Park is either early morning or in the evening.

Day 01: Delhi, Arrival

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Arrive at Delhi airport, on arrival, welcome with garlanding and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra (Approx. 200Kms - 4 hrs)
Morning after breakfast proceeds by surface to the city of Taj Agra, stopping enroute at a good restaurant for refreshment. Arrival and check in at the hotel. After check in, we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It`s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone - undoubtedly the highlight of our tour.
Later we leave for tour of the imposing Agra Fort, built of red sandstone and marble is a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates.
Rest of the evening free to explore the local handicrafts and shopping centers of the city where one can look for marble inlay work, fine quality carpets, Zari and embroidery, leather goods etc. Overnight at the hotel.

Taj Mahal remains closed on every Friday.

Day 03: Agra - Bharatpur (Approx. 90Kms - 2 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to Bharatpur (Keoladeo National Park). Enroute we stop at Fatehpur Sikri - which has been describes as `the world`s most perfectly preserved ghost town. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.

Arrival Bharatpur and check in at hotel. Evening free. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Keoladeo N.P. Jungle Activities
Experience a balmy walk around the park and observe a varied species of birds that resides there. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Bharatpur - Jaipur (250Kms - 5 hrs)
After breakfast, we drive to Jaipur - the fabled `pink city' of the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. The palaces and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors, are now living monuments. In the afternoon continue to the `Pink City` of Jaipur, arrive and check inn to the hotel.
This will be a cultural evening; we visit Chokhi Dhani - An ethnic village resort, the vitality of Rajasthani folk culture comes alive as children dance rhythmically to the loud tenor of folk songs sung by men and women, festooned in bright clothes. Gaily-caparisoned camel, horses and bullock carts offer joy rides. A traditional Rajasthani dinner will be serving. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaipur
Morning after breakfast at the hotel we visit the dramatic hilltop fortress at Amber- ascend the imposing fort on a painted elephant. We wander among glittering inlays and the Hall of Mirrors.
We stop to view the elegant Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) - this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world.
After lunch tour of the Maharajah's City Palace, now partly a museum display a unique fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, and house a rare collection of paintings, Rajput armoury and costumes. Later we visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory - situated in the heart of the city where time has been accurately measure since the 17th century.
Explore the colourful bazaars of Jaipur where one can shop for jewellery, paintings, block prints, textiles, carpets, brassware, blue pottery etc. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Jaipur - Samode - Delhi (250Kms - 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast at the hotel we drive back to Delhi enroute we stop at Samode - 50 Kms from Jaipur famous for the elegant Samode Palace, nestled picturesquely amidst rugged hills, Samode Palace with its stately grandeur and frescoed walls is a pleasant journey into the glorious past. The Palace is full of architectural delights-the birds, animals and flowers painted on the walls of Sultan Mahal, the dining room with stained glass windows and its collection of old family portraits, the Durbar Mahal with its painted ceilings and intricately carved walls and beautiful chandeliers give this place its old world charm. Explore the splendid Palace and have the lunch in the Palace. Later we continue by road back to Delhi, arrive and check in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Delhi (Departure)
Morning breakfast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, including Jama Masjid  - this immense mosque is the largest in India, Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire, nearby we enjoy the rickshaw ride in the local markets of Chandni Chowk and Kinari Bazar.
In New Delhi visit 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, The India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President`s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of British Raj.

Later transfer to the Indira Gandhi International airport to board your homeward flight or connect to your onward destination.
